In order to meet the high demand for medical face shields and the short lead time required , I have been developing a single part shield designed to be die-cut. Using an origami technique of curve folding - this shield can be made out of very thin material with very simple assembly. Die-cutting allows for production of 10,000’s of units daily and is a technique that’s readily available globally.

Currently the design is being refined in fabrication labs across the globe and receiving feedback from medical professionals with the hope of ramping up production soon.

Care to help? If you are a medical professional we could really use your feedback. If you are a production facility please reach out! Makers and designers are welcome to contribute to design refinements to better address your local hospitals need and respond to material availability.
